For about 10 years I know of the store called Nekudot Chen (Beauty Spots), I have plenty of their stuff in my house and it's better and cheaper than most of the Flea Market in Paris. The atmosphere in the store has charm of the Mitteleuropa type, there are also beautiful Art Deco pieces and Design Antiques from the 50's and 60's, there are many charming vintage pieces like cute old toys, metal advertising posters etc. If I had more money I would ransack the place with pleasure.
The owners are Avigdor Khalfon and David Chen, Avigdor who is one the few talented people who discovered the Neve Tsedek area, has decorated some of the most beautiful a partments in Tel Aviv. David who was once a famous actor, has always give me good advice with my purchases.
The bonus is, when I hint that I would be pleased to have coffee and can hang out a bit, I'm always sure to meet one or another of the Tel Aviv's beautiful people.
I happen to see their items in trendy restaurants and boutiques and also in movie and TV backgrounds and in very arty commercials.
Extremely classy!
